In the age of the global grid, how your nodes communicate is as important as what they say. Choosing the wrong frequency can lead to signal dropouts and battery drain.
Short-Range: BLE & WiFi
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is ideal for wearable nodes and local mesh networks. WiFi remains the standard for high-bandwidth data transmission where power is readily available.
Long-Range: LoRa & LTE-M
For nodes deployed in remote sectors where infrastructure is sparse, LoRa provides long-range, low-power connectivity. LTE-M offers the reliability of cellular networks with significantly lower power requirements than traditional 4G/5G units.
