Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Raonebytes and our prototyping services

General

What is Raonebytes?

Raonebytes is a hardware prototyping platform that helps startups and enterprises build working prototypes before manufacturing or fundraising. We provide end-to-end services from design to delivery.

Who can use Raonebytes?

Anyone with a hardware idea! We work with startups seeking funding, enterprises validating products, researchers building proof-of-concepts, and inventors bringing ideas to life.

What types of prototypes do you build?

We specialize in IoT devices, embedded systems, PCB-based products, sensor networks, wearables, industrial automation devices, and connected hardware of all kinds.

Pricing & Payment

How does pricing work?

Our pricing is transparent and component-based. You select your hardware requirements through our platform, and we provide an instant breakdown of component costs, engineering effort, assembly, testing, and shipping.

What payment terms do you offer?

We require 50% advance payment to begin the project, with the remaining 50% due before final delivery. This protects both parties and ensures commitment.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. All costs are clearly displayed upfront, including components, engineering, assembly, testing, and shipping. What you see is what you pay.

Can I change the scope after payment?

Yes, during the kickoff meeting you can add or remove features. We'll recalculate the pricing and show you the cost delta before finalizing the scope.

Process & Timeline

How long does it take to build a prototype?

Timelines vary based on complexity. Simple prototypes can be ready in 2 weeks, while complex systems may take 2 months. You'll select your expected timeline during the request process.

What happens after I submit a request?

After payment, we schedule a kickoff meeting to finalize requirements. Then our engineers design, build, and test your prototype with regular updates. You'll receive the finished prototype ready for demos or manufacturing.

Will I get updates during development?

Yes! You'll have access to a customer dashboard where our team posts progress updates, photos, videos, and notes throughout the development process.

What if I need changes during development?

Minor adjustments can be made during development. Major scope changes require approval and may affect pricing and timeline.

Technical

What controllers do you support?

We work with ESP32, Arduino, STM32, Raspberry Pi, and can design custom PCBs based on your specific requirements.

Can you integrate specific sensors?

Yes! We support a wide range of sensors including temperature, motion, GPS, cameras, pressure, humidity, accelerometers, gyroscopes, and many more. If you need a specific sensor, let us know.

Do you provide firmware development?

Absolutely. We offer basic, intermediate, and advanced firmware development based on your needs, from simple sensor reading to complex algorithms.

Can you build web dashboards or mobile apps?

Yes, we offer optional web dashboard and mobile app development as add-ons to your prototype project.

What about enclosures?

We offer 3D printed enclosures or custom-designed enclosures based on your form factor and aesthetic requirements.

Delivery & Support

How is the prototype delivered?

We ship worldwide via secure courier services. Shipping costs are calculated based on your delivery location and included in the final pricing.

What if the prototype doesn't work?

All prototypes are thoroughly tested before delivery. If there are any issues, we'll fix them at no additional cost within the warranty period.

Do you provide documentation?

Yes, you'll receive complete documentation including schematics, PCB files, firmware code, assembly instructions, and testing procedures.

Can you help with manufacturing?

While we focus on prototyping, we can provide manufacturing-ready files and recommendations for production partners.
